Dr Denise Ruth

Permanently appointed female General Practitioner 

Denise has lived in Apollo Bay for over 15 years and has worked here as a GP from 2001 to 2008, returning to the Medical Centre in January 2018 after a period working away in Geelong and Melbourne. Denise brings over 35 years of experience as a GP, medical educator, researcher, and public and community health physician. She provides general practice care including preventive, pregnancy, aged and palliative care.

Dr David Mullen

Dr Mullen is a vocationally trained General Practitioner. He hails from Galway on the west coast of Ireland. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate training in Dublin. His areas of interest are Minor Injuries, Acute Medicine, Chronic Disease Management and Dermatology.

Dr Genevieve Mount

Permanently appointed female General Practitioner Registrar

Dr Genevieve has worked in emergency medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology in a number of regional and rural hospitals.

Her interests include all areas of family medicine, with particular interest to women’s health.

Dr Mount is permanently appointed across both Apollo Bay and Lorne Medical Centres. She is close to completing her GP Registrar training.


Dr Alan Jardine

Male General Practitioner Registrar – appointed until February 2020

Born in Scotland, Dr Alan Jardine completed his medical training in the UK where he worked for three years before relocating to Melbourne in 2016.

Dr Jardine has a large amount of Emergency Medicine experience, working as an Emergency Medicine Registrar in Melbourne followed by a variety of locations across Victoria, NSW and Queensland. This experience played a large role in his decision to pursue a career as a Rural GP.

Dr Jardine is a keen sportsman playing tennis, soccer, rugby union and golf. He also enjoys the great outdoors.





Dr Leighton Delmenico

Male General Practitioner Registrar – appointed until February 2020

Dr Leighton Delmenico completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy (hons) at Monash University in 2007 and attended Deakin University where he gained a Medicine Bachelor of Surgery in 2014.

For the last 3 years Leighton has worked at Barwon Health and most recently completed a year as a General Hospital Medical Officer which consolidated his skills in Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Leighton is a keen surfer and likes getting to know the surfing locals on our beautiful coast. He enjoys reading classic Australian and international literature, has travelled around Europe and South East Asia and enjoys brewing a variety of beers including brown ale, pale ale and cerveza.




Dr Jessica Russell


Jessica Iser is originally from South Gippsland. Jessica completed her medical degree at Monash University, her internship at St Vincent’s Hospital and her residency followed in Geelong.

Jess’s special interests are in Family Planning and Sexual Health. Jess has completed training in IUD and Implanon insertion, Masters of Public Health and Travel Medicine. Her qualifications also include a Diploma in Children’s Health and a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Jess is also registered with Geelong Hospital for Shared Care.


Dr David Russell


Dr David Russell has a strong clinical foundation in the core medical specialities of General Practice, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Emergency Medicine and General Surgery.

His personal interests include rugby, surfing, skiing, golf, cycling and playing his guitar.
